We spent a good chunk of time in the fourth grade studying the history of Ohio.

Our 8th grade social studies class was "Georgia Studies".

7th grade was New Mexico history but I moved away 2 weeks into the school year. 11th grade is VA/US History but I took APUSH instead. I did take the SOL for it though.

Yes we had it in 4th/5th/and 8th grade but it was taught so irritably I didn't learn much. I'd love to teach myself some of it though to teach it.

I learned more about NC history in my 10th grade civics/economics class from my football coach than anything and it was a short side unit. We talked about the constitution and the types of governments we had here and all that.

Yes. It's the curriculum of both 3rd and 8th grade social studies here, but no high school course, elective or otherwise is available as a standard offering.

5th grade was New York state history. Then again, that was 16 years ago, so it could very well be different now.

No.  I just finished with a college class on Michigan history, and had it in fourth grade, but that's it.
