http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/06/07/lindsey-graham-caitlyn-jenner_n_7529556.html

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Caitlyn Jenner is welcome in the Republican Party -- and he'd even like to have her vote for him in 2016.

“If Caitlyn Jenner wants to be safe and have a prosperous economy, vote for me. I’m into addition," he said during an interview on CNN's "State of the Union." "I haven’t walked into her shoes. I don’t have all the answers to the mysteries of life. I can only imagine the torment that Bruce Jenner went through. I hope he’s -- I hope she has found peace."

"I’m a pro-life, traditional marriage kind of guy," he added. "But I’m running to be president of the United States. If Caitlyn Jenner wants to be a Republican, she is welcome in my party.”

And, according to this article: http://www.politico.com/story/2015/06/graham-urges-action-on-climate-change-118709.html, he seems to be willing to do something about global warming.

Graham is giving Rand Paul a run for his money if I had to vote for a Republican.

Good for him. He's still a murderous old bag.

You people are cruel.

Good for Graham - the unfortunate thing is that his "common sense" response will likely hurt him with GOP voters.

I thought it was a common consensus that besides his awful foreign policy, which just happens to be his specialty, Graham is a decent guy.

Agreed. I'd like him if he wasn't so bloodthirsty.

He's definitely trending up on my list. Hard to support a hawk, but he's likely between #6 or 7 which isn't bad in such a crowded field considering I disagree with his biggest talking point.

Good for him; I like Graham.  He's too hawkish for my liking, but I won't be voting for someone on foreign policy (otherwise Rand wouldn't have a shot in hell at my vote, and he does).

What, should I just heap praise on Graham just because of this?

Be careful Lindsey, you might just be turning my ironic support into actual support.

Not that anyone noticed, but Pataki attacked Huckabee for his anti Trans joke.

Good on him (and Pataki), it's not going to help him in a GOP primary, but it's a sign of decency on the part of a generally awful politician.

It's pretty well known that Lindsey Graham is a decent guy - his ideas on anything outside the borders of the country is very, very questionable, but as far as domestic affairs go, he's not awful at all.

You're all being fooled by this guy's "compassionate conservatism". Santorum said the exact same thing a few months ago - he's empathetic for Jenner... but in no way does he support her in the least. It's the same for Graham.

The only truth that Graham said in his statement is that he wants Jenner's vote. That's all.

Same thing with his lover, McCain, really. Their fetish with bombs aside, their domestic and economic policies are very much passable.

It's a bit surprising. I wonder if he'll get his endorsement.

Why wouldn't Jenner be welcome? Pretty stupid to say "I don't want your vote because your transgender" or something.

What would supporting entail exactly though? Like what positions would you need to hold to say you are supportive of transgender rights?

Federal funding for gender reassignment surgery, I suppose.

Very good of him to say that-especially before a GOP primary. Top marks to the guy

It's not like Graham is throwing away his chances for the nomination here. He's running to piss on Rand Paul, and nothing else.
