What is your opinion (and view towards the future role of, and further expansion of) the military alliance that constitutes a combined 70% of global military spending?

It unites the world's objectively best nations together. There's only like 10 nations outside of it that aren't wholly and totally useless or bad.

Obvious Freedom Alliance (left-leaning).

Oh btw, the lattermost option should be "left-leaning"

Horrible Alliance, should have been dissolved in 1991-1993.

It served it's purpose well during the Cold War.  The expansion afterwards has antagonized Russia, without any commensurate strategic benefit.

I'm saying that it's creation led to the Cold War(or at the very least it's escalation.)

I support NATO for not only our own, but for the security of other member nations as well, and I'd have no objection to expanding its membership.

I'd say antagonizing Russia is a strategic benefit.

Kind of crazy that it has 70% of the world's military spending. Because the other 30% has dangerous enemies like Japan, South Korea, and Australia.

Massive FA, should be expanded to be a global alliance of democratic nations including America's other allies such as Japan, South Korea, and Australia as well as eventually India.

Eh it's basically a weird one now-it's basically been the UN's air force for the last 20 years. Some stuff it's done has been good, like getting involded in kosovo but I fear it's just being used recently to fight rather useless air wars like Libya. I mean NATO is pretty much just a way of the US air force using European runways as well the UK doesn't have much of an air force

I can't help thinking its agressive expansion was pretty counterproductive in terms of bring bringing democracy to Russia. Rather mixed messages from the West to the Kremlin.

I'd rather not go to war over Kashmir.
