Pell is significantly to the left of me personally but something about his eccentric style and deeply principled nature that appeals to me.

See, Pell would've been the first choice for me. Objcetively speaking he is.

But thanks to some cultural background, and one notable hearing in 1969 (you should know it, can easily provide the link though in a latter post), I'd feel dirty not giving it to Pastore.

John Chafee. Not because he wasn't a turncoat (which is stupid reasoning to not like someone if they hold the same beliefs, which Lincoln does), but because Chafee seems like an respectable guy.
