- he was maj leader when the GOP lost the senate, also, he pretty much retired because he saw the direction the winds were blowing (possible reason republicans might dislike him)
- his history w/ animal abuse (possible reason democrats might dislike him)

I'm neutral on him. Nothing special, tbh.
