I hope. People who betray the movement (especially in the way that she did) to big business don't deserve to hold office.

I would be in support of this, but not a Dem challenge to Ami Bera. Rice has a much more Democratic district, so there's less of a chance of losing the seat.

There needs to be some successful primaries so that Democrats can stop taking their base for granted.

Kathleen Rice has my support if she faces a challenger from the far-left.

Yeah, Bera can stay. I see him leaving on his terms, to be completely honest.

Rice can get the fyck out, though. She sold the working people out of her district to big business, and she needs to pay with her job.

Well, my feelings about "bases" of both political parties are rather well-known here)))))

Excellent News! This is could be a competitive district, especially if some Zephyr Teachout type character pulls an upset.

I could see a conservative like Mike Meadows getting a primary too if he isn't careful.

there aren't enough moonbats for them to win a primary. It is though the most NAM (Non-Asian Minority) part of Long Island so its possibly someone from Hempstead could win a dem primary.

This isn't a hugely Dem district that one may think. It has a Dem PVI of D+3. The Republicans  held this district from 1971 till Carolyn McCarthy (D) came along to defeat Daniel Frisa(R) in the mid 1990's. For the period from the 1960's to the 1980's the District was numbered the 5th District.

It's not worth it... unless you want Congressman Bruce Blakeman or something.

We're better off targeting Moderates in seats with PVI's D +5 or above. Those have no danger of flipping, even in a wave, and a few of those still exist across the Northeast and West.

Kevan Abrahams (Dem leader in the Nassau Legislature) ran for the seat last year, lost to Rice in the Primary by 12.  Considering outside of this vote. Rice's voting record on pretty much everything else has been solid D, unless that changes I don't see any serious challenge to her.
