How does Van Buren make a list with Polk and Jackson?
he kept a lot of jackson's cabinet and had a decent foreign policy and understanding of the implications of certain constitutional matters (and no obviously i don't treat that as some sort of religious document, i mean i get the sense he actually knew that he was talking about on legal matters) even if there were some things he was ineffectual on
