This deserves a bump, given the vastly different November swings in these counties.

Since I'm not BRTD, this has no effect on how I view a place.

Still Orange, CA easily.

It's still asking me where I would rather live and nothing more.

I actually know someone in real life who decided not to live in a town because it voted for Trump.

I don't doubt those people exist, but they're insane, LOL.  For example, Peoria County quite regularly votes Democratic, but most of my parents' friends, colleagues and neighbors were Republicans ... you'd feel more "at home" (assuming this type of stuff matters to you) living in a Republican-leaning precinct in a very liberal town than living in a Democratic-leaning precinct in a very conservative town, IMO.  Also, for me personally, I would just never base it on this.  I love living in Iowa City right now, as it has a fun downtown with a great food and arts scene ... why on EARTH would I ever care that those people vote differently once every 2-4 years.  It's not like being a Republican makes me enjoy the local market or Jazz Fest any less.

I started shopping at Walmart after I became a Republican.

Orange County (because it has much better weather).  It would be an average-ish place to live, but Long Island would be near the bottom for me.

Long Island by a hair, but really I'd prefer other suburbs of both NYC and LA.

Tough call. I like New York much more than L.A., though I'd probably like Orange County more than L.A. itself. Assuming it was Nassau (and pretty close to Queens), then probably Long Island. Otherwise, Orange County for the weather.

Long Island.  It's my boyhood home, and I miss it a little every day.

Both seem cringeworthy, but at least OC has good weather.

Wouldn't really want to do either, but if I had to pick, Orange County.

I hate snow.

OC for the weather and economy, though being a train ride from The Big Apple is tempting.

Long Island EASILY!

Orange County is the kind of place I'd hate to even visit more than a few days.

I wouldn't want to live in either. If I have to choose it would be Orange County.
