Feingold, but Proxmire, Nelson, and Baldwin are all excellent.

Russ and no one else is remotely close as he is the greatest politician in the last half century minimum. He even edges out another Russ if you begin typing his name in my Facebook search. (Blasphemy, I know, but he's that good.)

Yeah this is probably one of the best benches yet (in perfect contrast to Wyoming).

Feingold and Nelson tie, but since I'm an environmentalist, and most of what Nelson stood for still stands...in contrast to Feingold never getting Bush censured and his campaign finance reform trampled the same year he left.

That's not even taking into account the candidates who unseated them, to which Johnson is easily worse.

Again, again, again, it should be made more clear as to what is meant by 'best'. Under one sense of the term it is quite absurd to choose, say, Johnson over Feingold (just as absurd as it would be to choose, say, Al Gore Jr. over Howard Baker), but under another it is perfectly reasonable.

Oh, and Feingold.

My Swindon Town supporting friend tells me that Swindon Town are a better football team than Chelsea and Manchester City. Tongue

Feingold is awesome, but Proxmire really deserves some votes so I gave him one.

He's probably my second or third choice - one of the better Democrats before he left.

Since I don't know much about the Republicans, went with Proxmire for his "Gold Fleece" thingy.
