Indiana Governor

Gregg (D) 41%
Pence (R) 40%

Pence (R) 42%
Ritz (D) 42%

Indiana Governor is once again a tossup this election season, and last time it wasn't even considered a tossup.

Pence only won 50-47 over opponent last time, its possible if it is close again, he will lose.

Unlike in the senate race, this will stay competetive.

I'd like to see more polls done for this race (Indiana tends to be underpolled, unfortunately), but this is a good sign, nonetheless.

A statistical tie from an unknown pollster = frontrunner status?

Given the state low taxes, Pence should be running ahead. But, Gregg isnt tax and spend Liberal either.

Doesn't matter because the election is in 16 months.

An Indiana Democrat is pretty much a Republican who believes in a decent minimum wage, the right to unionize, gay rights, and (most of the time) the right to choose.

Pence has two options: 1. Get some of the Mitch Daniels economic conservative, social moderate vote in the Indy fringes and donut counties. Or 2. Get social conservatives in southwestern Indiana to switch from Gregg to him.
Option two seems more likely.
A note: Obviously Pence will win Indy Suburbs, what matters is margin.

Pence will probably get pummeled in traditionally Republican NW Indiana suburbs, so that also needs to be addressed.
