In light of recent events...

Horrible Regimes (not a white supremacist or apologist for such filth).

While Rhodesia was a terrible place, I am very tired of the trope that Zimbabwe is somehow better. Modern Zimbabwe is just a less racist, but equally oppressive hellhole. That doesn't detract from the fact that Rhodesia and Apartheid South Africa were repressive, backwards regimes that were among the worst of Cold War era Africa.

Horrible Regimes (literally normal).

This wasn't the question that was asked, and in the context in which this question is being asked I don't think it's an appropriate question to answer either.

Is anybody here saying that? Well, besides the usual suspects who actually like Mugabe?

Another weird poll about countries by an American poster.  This time we have three nations with completely no relevance to each other, of different establishment, politics and destiny.

I'm preempting the usual chorus of True Leftists who should soon enough be in here praising Mugabe.

What trope? Outside of a handful of idiotic and truly deluded True Leftists (even more than they typically are), I've never heard anyone unironically Mugabe's Zimbabwe or herald it as some standard of democratic and racial equality.

Well if Zimbabwe had true universal suffrage instead of Mugabe's sham elections, it'd be far better off.

A lot of people forget that Mugabe's original land reform was kind of a Moderate Hero thing hashed out with the Thatcher administration who were desperate to subsidise the white landowners whose positions had become increasingly untenable and ridiculous. The modern "land reform" was all basically a gigantic populist sulk from Mugabe against the "Brits" (the Lab government not really caring about its old colonies internal matters) that mainly hurt blacks rather than the whites who had the capital to run away.

Also this is a dumb thread, but that's been said already.

Don't be obtuse. You know exactly what foundational principle and driving force these countries had in common.
