I have witnessed this on several occasions, and I think it disgusting.  I wonder if the caller at the other end minds it.

I think this is more of a girl thing because I've never overheard a guy do this, perhaps because we're generally not in there as long.

I do recall one of the infinite supply of irate ex-Huffington Post employees accusing Arianna Huffington of disrespecting her by speaking to her on the phone while she was pooping. And that totally sounds like something Arianna Huffington would do.
