Jindal will be announcing his "final decision" on his 2016 plans on Wednesday in New Orleans at 4pm Central time:

https://www.eventbrite.com/e/geaux-bobby-a-special-announcement-from-governor-bobby-jindal-tickets-17232427655?aff=Staff

However, like several other candidates, there isn't a whole lot of suspense on which way he's going to go here, seeing as how several of his top aides have already announced their resignation from his gubernatorial office in order to work for the campaign:

http://www.bayoubuzz.com/buzz/latest-buzz/item/914392-surprised-jindal-staff-leaves-for-new-opportunities-oops-presidential-campaign

And he's planning to visit New Hampshire again on Thursday, the day after his announcement:

More like an Indian-American.  Not to be confused with American Indian.  At this rate, the GOP may need a big tour bus to tote around all these clowns.

The truth is, Governor Jindal is very smart, he has been an incredibly successful Governor, more so than probably all other Governors serving right now, and he has a good grasp of the issues.

But, in the age of Barack Obama and Ted Cruz, charisma is meaningful and Jindal doesn't have the fire in the belly to be successful in a general election.

Ted Cruz has charisma? There's a newsflash.

The truth is, Governor Jindal is very smart, he has been an incredibly successful Governor in ruining his state, more so than probably all other Governors serving right now, and he has a good grasp of the issues to demagogue.

His tenure as governor of Louisiana has been an unmitigated disaster for nearly everyone, which is why is approval rating is like 27% and no one considers him more than a joke man-boy candidate.

He's mostly finding a cute way to compare Barack Obama and Ted Cruz to justify his support of Jeb Bush as the "conservative candidate".

Christie has more charisma than 250 Ted Cruzes, if you ask me.

I don't know if Cruz has "charisma", but he's got stones.  He's willing to shut down the government even if he has to pretty much go it alone and draw heat from his own party.  His stones are rather misdirected, but a lot of the candidates running have no real fortitude to do the unpopular thing, unless it's for their corporate masters who will take care of them should the voters dump them at the next election.

Maybe he's trying to steal Jeb's swagger. Tongue
Or maybe it's a badly hidden job application for Team Jeb's coming VP vetting?

During his speech he actually said he was "tanned, rested and ready"

I actually didn't think he was going to run. He has the lowest approval rating of any governor and is polling dead last among GOPers. He is polling so badly he may not qualify for the FOX 'Forum' because he is averaging below 1%.  Apparently his team is already saying he is going skip it, dismissing it as a "JV debate" which is the political equivalent of preemptively breaking up with someone right before they dump you

By what possible metric? Even if you're just saying "Best at pushing their awful agenda through", Scott Walker has him beat.
