I think Kamala Harris could be a favorite if she has a big entrance to the senate - think Democratic Ted Cruz (or Obama!) If Hillary loses, her age could be a subconscious factor, so Warren might not be ideal, although, like Sanders, she represents a part of her party that really inspires voters. Coming from California, she could have a large population of support and donors. She just needs to get elected to senate!

Probably not.

I would assume Warner or someone similar to him would be the frontrunner.

If she establishes early on that she's interested in running, she'd have a great shot.

The progressives love her. It gives the party another shot at something they want (the nomination of the first female President.) She lives next door to New Hampshire. And she would be one of the most prominent critics of the Republican administration (which also prevents other rising stars from raising their profiles.)

She won't be as effective a frontrunner as Hillary, but she'd be rather strong.

Even if she isn't the frontrunner anymore by the second half of 2019, she'd obviously be the *early* frontrunner, wouldn't she?  Who else would have already established themselves by 2017, to be the early frontrunner?  Clinton's VP nominee, OK, whoever that might be.  I guess it depends on who that is, and how they perform in the '16 campaign.  But otherwise, it's got to be Warren.

Oh of course. She'll be hyped up by pundits, but she'll put the speculation to rest pretty early.
