Just released.

Forecast of Labour majority of 66 with Conservatives picking up 44 seats and the Liberal Democrats 2. I personally think this underestimates the Liberal Democrats and possibly overestimates the Conservatives. I still say a higher Labour majority, eighty plus methinks.

Did the polls just close? It's 10 over there, their polls are open late.

Do you have proportional representation or what?

It's sort of similar to the US House

Lab 37, Con 33, LD 22

Apparently Labour have done better in it's safe seats and seats where we don't have a prayer than marginals.

How do you have results? BBC.com says the results will be up at 2230. Did I miss something?

Of course, we shouldn't pay TOO much attention to the exit polls.  The Democrats learned that just last year.

I never said we should. Just correcting the thought that these were actual results.

I think that the poll underestimates the Tories popular vote by a point, and might have overestimated the amount of seats they will win by 2 or 3.

Either way, looks really bad for the Lib Dems Cheesy

I was watching a Blair town hall on C-Span 2 and was struck by how open it was. Some student was actually having a back and forth, sometimes yelling, with Blair. I've noticed stuff like that in Parliament too.

I couldn't imagine that happening in America, you can't challenge a President no matter who you are. Why does this happen in Britain. Wish we could do that in the US.
