I declare with absolute certainty that Republicans will retain control of the Senate in 2016, regardless of who wins the White House. Anyone want to take that bet?

I without a doubt say here and now that the Democrats will win the Senate, 50-1-49 (Special Election to replace Bernie). So I will to an one-eighty to your bet.

Dems will regain control of senate, and Strickland is new Sen-elect from OH and is the tie breaking election in a divided Senate.😊

I predict that Democrats will take the Senate, defending all their seats and gaining WI, IL, OH, PA, NH, FL, and AZ to bring the partisan divide to 53-47.

It's way too early to tell. My current guess is that Republicans hang on by a thread, losing IL, WI, and FL.

Somewhere between D+1 and R+1, so the GOP retains control pretty easily and has a "national trifecta" in 2017.

I say Johnson and maybe Kirk go down. That's as generous as I'll be. Murphy is overrated, as much as I like him.

Since saying Democrats win say Ohio or New Hampshire isn't particularly bold, I'll say that Kander beats Blunt in Missouri, Arizona gets the "Lugar" treatment, and Indiana ends up with 2 Democratic Senators and a Democratic Governor.

I can confidently say that this will not happen.

Hopefully, Jeb isnt nominee. Other: Trump runs an indy race against Jeb; or Christie or Walker are the nominees, then our path to winning Senate becomes clearer.

Remember 2013 when the only question was how many Senate seats would flip in the Hillary landslide... Winning back the Senate was considered a no-brainer due to her coattails.

2013 was a terrible year for predictions. Christie looked like a good presidential contender, Mark Udall seemed to be a near lock for reelection, the 2014 Michigan senate race looked like a Toss-Up, and Franken looked like a potential vulnerability for dems.

Is that your bold prediction?

I suppose

John McCain goes down in a primary.

Kamala Harris only narrowly is elected against Sanchez.

Kirk and Johnson are both Blanched.

Ayotte, Toomey and Bennett are easily reelected however.

The Alaska race plays out exactly as it did in 2010.

The Florida Democratic Party fails somehow (ok, that's hardly a bold prediction)

I'll say it ends up as GOP 51, Dems 49. Dems hold all of their seats, and pick up Illinois, Wisconsin, and Florida.

Not you specifically, but other "bold" predictions like Republicans lose Wisconsin and Illinois.

Democrats gain Wisconsin and Illinois but the GOP picks up nevada. 53-47 senate and a congressional majority for the GOP until at least 2020. Also Strickland goes down in flames the second someone reminds people what he was like as govenor and that he will be 75 years old.
