An interesting superb quality newspaper with disagreeable politics. My go to for "knowing the enemy"/seeing the other side of an argument. However some of the Intersectional Social Justice articles on Comment Is Free are atrociously ill informed/nihilistic.

I like it less and less these days but it's still better than most options of its kind, I guess.

The comment section has been fairly disheartening (no surprise).

To be fair, most of the more off-the-wall SJWdom is online rather than in the dead-tree edition.

They endorsed the Lib Dems in 2010, but FP. They've redeemed themselves.

From my experience, publishes, by far, the greatest amount of utterly nonsensical content than any other "respectable" English-language broadsheet. In terms of quantity and degree of absurdity, the Grauniad is unmatched amongst its notional peers in that regard. Give me the New York Times any day of the week.

Horrible paper.

FP but not always of best quality. They seem to be in love with the concept of perpetual opposition and ridiculous identity politics at times and their coverage of international affairs moves from excellent to horrible rather fast. yet still a bastion of good free press
