This scenario is HIGHLY unlikely, but just cooperate please.  Smiley

Senator Bernie Sanders wins the Democratic Presidential nomination.

Congresswoman Donna Edwards of Maryland runs for the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Senator Barbara Mikulski.  Edwards loses the Senate nomination primary to Congressman Chris Van Hollen.

Let us suppose that Donna Edwards had been high on Sanders list of possible nominees for Vice President.

Does the fact that Edwards lost the Senate primary election have any bearing on whether he picks Edwards or picks somebody else as his running mate?

Please discuss.

Thanks.

I believe Sanders would take Edwards off of his short list for Vice President, due to the fact that her loss in the primary election comes so close to the Presidential election.

Dude, why you obsessed with Donna Edwards being Sanders VP? It's such a random idea for you to be so committed to it.

True, it is a very random idea, and we all know it will never happen.  But it is simply for a point of discussion, and there are many, many threads on this forum which are simply for discussion.

You know, what I try to do is to address the question or the point raised in the original post, not get all uptight about it.

But..........
