Comparing Sanders to Paul is ageist but the kind of lazy
Accusing your opponents of being ageist is lazy.  It doesn't even really make sense, Clinton is like 4 years younger than Sanders, and the Paul and Sanders campaigns have a lot of similarities without considering the ages of the candidates.

Nearly as many Democrats could not see themselves supporting Sanders as Democrats who could. When a full third of Democrats are dead set against your candidacy, that's a serious obstacle to a campaign.

Most Sanders supporters back him because he happens to be the candidate that they agree with most on the issues and/or because he has the best shot (even if it isn't much of a shot) to beat Clinton for the Democratic nomination. There is no borderline cult movement around Bernie Sanders like there is around Ron Paul. Hell, if any Democratic candidate has something like the Ron Paul movement around her, it would have to be Clinton. You guys do remember the 2008 primaries right? The PUMAS, Hillaryis44, the people who just wouldn't give it up?

You realise you guys are indistinguishable from Paultards right?

Paul (and his son) never had a chance though.

Sanders has (he's already polling much higher than Paul ever has, in NH).

Cool. He still has zero chance though.

You realize you're rocking Martin O'Malley in your signature right?

Sanders supporters are now officially more delusional than us Paulites. Wow.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Now that was terrific!

Sanders supporters are now officially more delusional than us Paulites. Wow.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves.
Lets not. Paul supporters were interested in changing the party, not toppling the obvious frontrunner.

Paul supporters thinking they could get Ron Paul nominated over Romney is just as or more delusional than Sanders supporters thinking they can get Sanders nominated over Clinton

Difference is he has a few billion to spare. Sanders has squat.

Bernie attracts way more people then Ron Paul ever did, and Ron Paul could attract a serious amount of people at rallies.

It's just didn't translate in the voting booth.

Both major party nominees will have a billion dollars. Trump really has no money advantage over the eventually Democratic nominee.

Sanders and Paul are both kind of nutty. Paul doesn't believe that Islamic fundamentalists were involved in the attack on Charlie Hebdo and Bernie Sanders doesn't believe politicians getting huge donations from corporations can be counted on to act in the public's best interests. And if you think Paul's saying America kind of brought 9/11 on itself was alienating to the GOP base, wait until you see how the Democratic base reacts to Sanders's griping about income inequality.

*I think Hillary will win too. I just think he'll force her to adjust her tone and policies in ways that Paul didn't do to the GOP nominee.

Yeah. Ninja delegates to change the platform and embarrass Romney. That wasn't about getting the nomination.
