Bob Ehrlich hasn't been mentioned as a potential presidential candidate for several months now, and while Jim Gilmore did promote himself not that long ago, he doesn't seem to have taken any active steps towards putting together a campaign.

As they know they would be little more than fringe candidates to start, they also know that fringe candidates need to get into a race before the main candidates enter and suck up all the money and campaigners.

Gilmore is going to run and there's NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. He's been through some hard times but Mama Gilmore and Papa Gilmore have his full support. He just needs to focus in on replicating the success he had back in the 1997 Virginia Gubernatorial election. Just because he hasn't held an office in 13 years does not make him any better than you!

Ehrlich probably won't run but I have no idea about Gilmore. As much as I'd like us to go past 16 candidates, I don't think either of them will ultimately run.

Gilmore has said he intends to participate in the August NH union leader forum, and he does have to be a declared candidate to do so.

Ehrlich appears to have lost all interest though.

Compared to Ehrlich and Gilmore, Buddy Roemer is a man of electoral successes.

Thad McCotter, Mike Gravel, those were some heavyweights

OT: I hope to hell Gilmore at least doesn't run. He's an old windbag that is far beyond his usefulness. Ehrlich I have no opinion on, but I just think at this point in time with almost 15 already running, you run out of different types of voters to form your base. There's no elbow room, especially with big Christie in the race

Just had to, since everybody else is doing it.

I really don't know who these people are tbh. I mean, I've read their names on Atlas before, but that's it. I don't even know what state Erlich is from.

Ehrlich is the former governor of Maryland. If you know who Martin O'Malley is, he beat Ehrlich in 2006 and again in 2010.
