plays in a bi-partisan rock band called The Second Amendments.

This is great. I remember reading at some point that there was a barbershop quartet formed by Senators Ashcroft, Craig, Jeffords, and Lott.

http://www.wday.com/news/3995486-rep-collin-peterson-would-vote-bernie-sanders-delegate

Minnesota Rep. Collin Peterson says if he can be bothered to make it to the Democratic Convention this year, he will probably vote for Bernie Sanders.

Peterson is one of the most conservative Democrats in the House. He's pro-life, pro-flat tax, and plays in a bi-partisan rock band called The Second Amendments.

There is resentment toward the Clintons amongst many Democrats in the same manner that there is resentment toward the Bushes amongst many Republicans.  Having eaten turds on behalf of one of their families, they don't relish eating turds on behalf of a second.

More or less. It's just like how we all knew Grayson would endorse Sanders because he used an online poll.

If it's one Sykes, we know who it's probably going to be. I may try to listen tomorrow during class.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for Kasich!

Wisconsin's largest newspaper on Tuesday encouraged its readers to vote for Kasich next Tuesday, going so far as to call him "the only thoughtful candidate with a fundamental belief in long-standing democratic principles who remains standing in the GOP primary field."

But who would Rand Paul endorse? He seems not to like Cruz, including attacking him several times, he obviously doesn't like Trump, and I can't see him endorsing Kasich.

He's probably announcing he's getting an endorsement for his Senate campaign.

He's endorsing Cruz. First, Paul and Cruz are more ideologically simpatico than what most of you know. Second, he despises trumpie much more. Kasich has no shot. The amigos (Rubio, Paul, Lee) are gonna back Cruz.

Just saw this - lol. Not surprising though given that Mark Latham is probably the most High Energy Aussie politician of modern times.

NY Times for Kasich (in a editorial arguing that "Never Trump" should really be "for Kasich"). I agree with them about 99%. I particularly liked this part, explaining why the establishment is backing Cruz and not Kasich:

Some conservative leaders see Mr. Cruz as their best chance for maintaining their influence and are thus reluctant to work for Mr. Kasich. Others who backed Jeb Bush or Mr. Rubio resent Mr. Kasich for not yielding to their candidate. Others worry that Mr. Kasich’s views on the poor, Muslims and immigrants place him too far from the right to win in a brokered convention....But in a year when cruelty and exclusion stand as hallmarks of conservatism, “It would be courageous to stand up and say that Kasich is a different kind of conservative,” who doesn’t see government, or foreigners, as enemies, Mr. Olsen says. “These voters exist, and there’s a lot of them.”
