yeah, she really helped mitt romney win the primary in 2012 with her endorsement...oh wait

Do.. do you mean the general election? Because if you actually mean primary, you're using "oh wait" wrong..

This may help Rubio surpass Cruz, but it won't be enough for first place. People are too pissed at the Establishment in general.

He doesn't need first to get the media momentum, Clinton lost to Tsongas by 10 in nh in 1992 but still was heralded as the "comeback kid"

The establishment really is blowing it.  Primaries are supposed to test and weed out candidates.  Rubio blew it.  Can you imagine what would have happened if Sanders or Clinton (or basically any other candidate in any other year?) messed up the way Rubio did in a debate?

Go ahead.  Nominate Rubio, a candidate that has done nothing to prove himself and quite a bit to prove he can't handle the pressure of a campaign.

Nope

Mike Lee is scheduled to campaign with Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, declining to choose sides in the Republican presidential primary between his two closest allies in the Senate.

Ahh thank you for clarification!

Although I believe one could argue she has a much larger influence now with her time in SC and her recent rise to nationwide political chitchat.

Not encouraging anything, just trying to drop some news!

Bill Clinton didn't then go on to lose South Carolina in fifth place behind Tom Harkin because his brain didn't work when Eugene McCarthy called him out for being a robot.

Alan Grayson has a poll on his website on who he should endorse. Or, in other words, Grayson endorsing Sanders in a few days.

The Haley endorsement is the most interesting development on the Republican side since the debate. Are Republican Party actors finally ready to let go of Jeb's decaying corpse? This is probably an early indicator that we'll be seeing a lot of movement very soon.

BREAKING - Ohio Governor John Kasich to endorse Ohio Governor John Kasich for the Presidency.

Stop the presses!

Let's dispel with this fiction that primary endorsements matter

I don't think they matter much in terms of who people decide to vote for.  I think it's more relevant in terms of using the state party machinery to get people to the polls.  As I noted here:

https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=229401.msg4918588#msg4918588

in 2008, Charlie Crist put his Florida party machine to work for McCain, who was being outspent by Romney.  Did Rubio, before today, have a comparatively weak South Carolina operation?  If so, is Haley now going to help him out in that regard, but putting her people to work for him?
