Specifically, the fact that he endorsed now makes it important.

Ironically, Hillary Clinton has now received at least one congressional endorsement from every state in the former Confederacy except for her own, Arkansas.

Of course, Arkansas is also the only former Confederate state without a Democratic congressperson, but still.

Aside from Vermont, all the states without a Clinton endorsement are states without Democratic House members.

Wouldn't it have been better to time this a few days before the primary for maximum effect?

This is the last Sunday before the Dem primary, a big day for black churches where a lot of campaigning happens. Clyburn is said to have the best political network in the state so a week of putting that into motion will help.

Not too surprising, his state will overwhelmingly vote for Sanders on Super Tuesday, and Welch wants Sander's senate seat if he becomes president or retires

Has Alvin Greene endorsed?

What's the over/under on the number of endorsements from sitting governors and members of Congress that Rubio will get within the next week?

Romney for Rubio. Morden: Kraushaar reported last week that Cotton and Sullivan are waiting in the wings for Rubio.

I'd say 50 "endorsement points" is by no means out of the question. This crowd will probably be about 2/3 establishment as there will also be some who were deciding between Rubio and Cruz who will pick Rubio since Cruz kind of floundered yesterday.

I'd go with:

2 governors: Scott Walker and Susana Martinez maybe?
5 senators: Tom Cotton should be in the bag at this point. Also Dan Sullivan, Lamar Alexander, Orrin Hatch, Jeff Flake.
5 representatives: Not sure who these will be. Maybe Peter Roskam.

Blackburn spoke on behalf of Rubio at his Tennessee rally today, but stopped short of a formal endorsement.

By the way, Carlos Curbelo, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, and Mario Diaz-Balart have all endorsed Rubio.

I'm not sure this a new endorsement, but either way, David Dewhurst, of all people, maxed out to Cruz.
