2016 Primary Endorsements megathread.

NY Times for Kasich (in a editorial arguing that "Never Trump" should really be "for Kasich"). I agree with them about 99%. I particularly liked this part, explaining why the establishment is backing Cruz and not Kasich:

Some conservative leaders see Mr. Cruz as their best chance for maintaining their influence and are thus reluctant to work for Mr. Kasich. Others who backed Jeb Bush or Mr. Rubio resent Mr. Kasich for not yielding to their candidate. They haven't endorsed a Republican for the general since Eisenhower, so I assume so.

They endorsed him before the NH Primary and we know the result. We'll see where this endorsement takes him.

Yes, once we get to the general election, the leftist media will treat the Republican nominee, no matter who it is, as a far-right extremist.

Endorsements from people who won't vote Republican anyway mean very little to actual Republican voters.

Cramer's an idiot, so not surprising. I hope he doesn't run for Senate in 2018, otherwise Heitkamp is safe.

Is he?  From the admittedly very little I'd read about him he sounded like a semi-decent guy as far as House Republicans go (or at least not a crazy person).

Why not just Kasich?

Because Ryan is much more conservative than Kasich and is palatable to my group of the GOP, while we have reservations about Kasich.
