In terms of Michigan Congressmen, Bill Huizenga and former Rep Pete Hoekstra endorsed Kasich.

Ugh, Hokestra. Can't he just leave the political world for good?!?

Jim Cooper endorsed Hillary Clinton? Wow. I thought he'd back Webb's likely independent run, or go for one of the more moderate republicans.

Interesting that Cruz/Kasich still have a lot of work to do just to get all their state GOP congressmen to endorse them.

Just for fun... who has won a plurality of endorsements in each state? Light blue indicates a tie.

So do we prefer the politician who is open about his views even when they're unpopular or the politician who chooses what she does and doesn't say based off of whether doing so is politically advantageous?
Do you understand the notion that Cabinet Secretaries, especially the Secretary of State, are not supposed to weigh in with their own opinions on domestic policy issues?

This, and for the "well she could have said it in '08" crowd, keep in mind that a gay marriage ban passed in CALIFORNIA that year despite Obama winning the state 61-37. Endorsing gay marriage was akin to political suicide in '08.

Meh, Schultz may not have put out a press release overtly saying "I endorse Clinton", but unless you've been living under a rock for the last 10 months, it's pretty clear she supports Clinton.

Yeah, it was surely a display of extreme cougare for a moderate Southern Democrat to endorse Hillary...

Voting for Hillary will be a major talking point in his re-election. He very easily could've said his vote was private, or he wrote someone in, and even that he would vote third party in the general.

You are aware that Vitter ran ads about Edwards voting for Obama twice, right? That worked out great.

Yes, I know about the scandal, but still, Vitter should have been able to come close given how deeply non-Atlas  red LA is. Edwards's margin suggests that he had a clear shot at winning even in an alternate universe where the 2nd slot in the runoff went to Angelle.

A very popular governor who was just re-elected with 67% of the vote

To be fair, his opponent was a random truck driver

It's a good get for Cruz, but local officials in the suburbs, many of the same ones who endorsed Romney over Santorum and Gingrich 4 years ago, are lining up for Trump. I expect Trump to break 50% tomorrow.

Because those local endorsements were great for Romney, right??? Or wait a moment....

Mississippi Republican primary, 2012[6][7]
Candidate   Votes    Percentage
Rick Santorum   96,258   32.73%
Newt Gingrich   91,612   31.15%
Mitt Romney   90,161   30.66%
Ron Paul           12,955    4.40%

Truly a resounding victory!

Missed this one in the leadup to Wisconsin...

Rep. Ron Kind (WI) for Clinton.

Gotta love the representatives who endorse a candidate that loses their district overwhelmingly.

Well, the whole point of having superdelegates is that they are not bound by primary results. I don't like it, but we can't change rules while playing.

It's fine, I just thought it was ironic since their job is to literally be a 'representative', so as to 'represent' their district's interests.

Actually in their capacity as superdelegates they are to represent what they deem to be the "best interests of the party".

How helpful for Sandoval to endorse 2 months after his state votes. lol

It's not as if Kasich had a chance in NV anyways. He lost to CARSON.

With both party primaries over now, it's probably time to unsticky this thread.
