But several people on Atlas told me that black Muslims (who make up the majority of people in Minneapolis) absolutely never vote for Jewish socialists because they're inherently moderate and antisemitic!!!!!

LOL

I guess that's one less potential Hillary VP...

Anyway, it is surprising how much of O'Malley's support (at least among prominent politicians) comes from the West. If I recall correctly, his only congressional endorsement is Swalwell (Sad) from California, and he also has Hart and now Schweitzer under his belt.

What will Hillary ever do without Schweitzer as her running mate? Sad

If Rubio doesn't denounce his endorsement, I will take it that he too also supports banning condoms.
LOL. Gardner doesn't support banning condoms. Roll Eyes
Looks like it's a lost cause with a lot of democrats on this forum.

I'm pretty sure the condom thing is just a running joke at this point. There are a lot of reasons to dislike Gardner though.

What about Dayton and all the West Coasters? Why haven't they endorsed anyone yet?

Inslee because he's running for reelection next year, and knows that Sanders has some very influential supporters that he doesn't want to mess with. He'll wait until after the primary to endorse Hillary, I suspect.

That might be the same with Kate Brown since her special election is next year as well.

I'm not sure about Jerry Brown though. He and the Clintons get along about as well as Hatfields and McCoys. I'm not sure that he will endorse Bernie though. I think he would have endorsed Biden if Biden ran.

Oh right, I forgot about the Jerry Brown/Bill Clinton thing.

What about Ige, though?

Another Congressional endorsement for Rubio with Mike Pompeo.

I see the Republican establishment has abandoned any pretense of subtlety.
For better or worse though these endorsements won't move any actual votes.

Both have only been members of Congress since 2011, and Pompeo is part of the Tea Party. Is there anyone in Congress you consider not a part of "the establishment"? Do you think someone put a gun to their heads and made them endorse him? If Trump or Carson or Cruz got a bunch of endorsements would they suddenly be considered part of "the establishment" and not cool anymore? I'm just curious at which point a person crosses over from a hero maverick "outsider" into the evil "establishment" and if the only way to prevent it is to just keep yelling and pissing off everybody. Anarchy Party.

Lyndon isn't exactly a Tea Partier....

Re: Moulton, that isn't exactly surprising. Moulton seems like a fairly normal Democrat to me.

Not too surprising, but still good news.

Specifically, the fact that he endorsed now makes it important.

Aside from Vermont, all the states without a Clinton endorsement are states without Democratic House members.

JCL, I'd love to hear your "argument."

This election is just getting weirder and weirder.

The sad thing is, people voting against their own self-interests is not a new occurrence.

The sad thing is people still think they can tell others what their self-interest is.
Also, I will proudly vote against my self-interests if it means helping people achieve their dreams.

Do we criticize all of Bernie Sanders' affluent supporters (i.e. 90+% of them) for how they cast their vote?

Huh Sanders's base is poor white people.

Malia Obama, by the way, has low-key endorsed Hillary Clinton.

Source?

I would think that if he endorsed anyone, it would be Kasich.

Interesting that none of the Governors named Brown or Walker have endorsed.

In the same way Welch's endorsement secured Vermont, yes.

Still a nice endorsement. Sanders should be happy about this one.

I have a feeling that Hillary's VP choice is going to be primarily based on who she thinks will be the best Vice President.

Menendez has endorsed Hillary. I'm guessing she won't be publicizing this one much.

http://politickernj.com/2016/05/senator-menendez-op-ed-clinton-has-the-right-stuff-for-prez/

So the only Senators not to endorse her are Tester, Warren, Merkley, and if you count them, King and Sanders himself.

Is Tester not endorsing because DSCC, or is he waiting until right before Montana votes?

Warren is Warren.

I'm not sure what King's deal is, but he's an independent so it makes sense that he's not endorsing.
