Edward Argar (Conservative - Charnwood)

That's a very Tory name isn't it?

His seat is one of those that is clearly safe but still gives Labour a respectable vote.

Yes, Edward John Comport Argar is the sort of name you would give a character in a novel if it should not be too over the top, but still unmistakably Tory, but then again he is educated from Harvey Grammar School and Oriel College. Also a very Tory background.

Adrian Bailey (Labour - West Bromwich West)

Old school Party Right stalwart (background in local government and the Co-op Party) with a strong interest in complex policy issues. He represents a constituency that is bizarrely named for two reasons: the first is obvious, the second is that it includes none of West Bromwich.

The largest town in his constituency is Tipton. 'nuff said.

Not for non-Brits.

West Bromwich West sounds like a parody of British constituency names.

Notorious for spending more time in his dentist practise than parliament (and the dentist practise was under suspicion in the expenses scandal)

Dentist + politician ? Must get off on unpopularity.

A dentist elected in Mole Valley.. lol

Continues a trend of SF replacing more active figures with reserves on the Westminster team.

Very sensible of them.
