Hillary wins easily in 2016. Tom Cotton wins in a landslide in 2020 and is predictably horrifying in his presidency.

I don't get why everyone is so convinced that Tom Cotton will be the nominee in 2020.

Would be truly ironic to see Clinton getting crushed by a "Slick Tom" from AR in 2020.
I can see Cotton either defeating Clinton narrowly for a second term, or her VP if she retires narrowly and has an absolutely horrifying presidency and get absolutely annihilated worse than Carter in 2024.

Tom Cotton would look like the least Presidential President since, well, forever.

The irony would be almost too much to bear. The young fresh face candidate from Arkansas promising hope and  a new direction for America after 12 years of opposite party rule. They could even use this as their campaign song :

Tom Cotton will never be president of the United States.

He's going nowhere.

I honestly don't get the whole "Tom Cotton looks presidential" thing. To me, he looks more like a creepy backwood killer.

^^^

Honestly, I'd say Cory Gardner has a better chance of becoming President in 2020.

I could see him going for President. He'd probably have a better chance being elected President than winning reelection in Colorado in 2020.

No. Cotton won't kill in the woods since there are no bombs.
