If it enables us to change the constitution, without drastically modifying the regions (maybe merging a couple of smaller regions together) and keeping a similar structure to the way government works both federally and regionally, then I'm happy to support a constitutional convention.

The differing expectations right now is the greatest hinderance to this succeeding once it has been officially called.

True, but while we might have differing expectations, I think a positive is that we all have the same motive: to save Atlasia. Most of the "burn it down" crowd have left, and those that have remained probably won't be active in the ConCon, or will be weak enough in number to not affect much.

Yep, that's what it will do, although many will be looking for more radical reforms than that. Hard to blame them. Whatever opinion you have, this is by far the best way to save Atlasia. I encourage you, and anyone else reading to sign this. If it works, then Atlasia is saved! If it doesn't, then, well, it probably wouldn't be much worse than maintaining the status quo.

Do we still have people here who want to tiptoe around the regional consolidation issue? Surely not. Not with how bad things are at the moment.

All you're doing by "consolidating the regions" is rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.  If we want to save Atlasia, we must do something much more radical.

It's clear there's enough of a drive for this to happen, therefore I support its creation. Even if I feel it's not going to do what is intended for the long-term.

I'm not sure where else to ask this so, what exactly will be the procedure of the ConCon?The current constitution is vague about it.

Yes, you are right.
That's why the Senate passed the amendment.

I think that some voters will be automatically de-registered because of missing 3 consecutive federal elections, so looks like we can get the South activated. But I'd suggest to wait for the Constitutional Amendment, because the current Constitution is vague about it.

The Constitutional Amendment has passed in the South and in the Northeast.
Polls will close today in the other 3 regions. Ayes are leading in all regions.

Between four and six hours left for the Midwest and Mideast booths to be closed, and we're good to go!

Now that I've moved back home, I'm transferring my signature from the NE to the South:

Can't believe we made it, really... It's quite an accomplishment (and Griffin probably has one of the best sense of drama I've seen in political games)

And again, thank the gods for that rule against deregistration after an election!
