People assume things would improve with Hillary because she's a "neocon" and threatened to obliterate Iran, but she never strayed from Obama on Israel while SOS, and hasn't distanced herself from Obama's positions on Iran since then. Also, remember that Bill Clinton helped topple the Netanyahu government in the 90s.

In terms of human rights things will worsen. I can easily see Israel attacking Iran and Hillary scuttling the peace deal. Since Netenyahu dropped even the pretense of peace with Palestine her administration won't bother with negotiations. All in all it'll be status quo ante bellum since Israel will continue to receive billions in aid every year and be able to murder a thousand Palestinian civilians in response to one Israeli getting killed, never feeling the consequences thanks to Iron Dome. Only external pressure in the form of divestment can really bring them in line.

No Israeli government will ever attack Iran.

As for US-Israel relations, expect no change.

(And no divestment is literally white noise).

They will improve from the point of view of Likud. Obviously, that's not an improvement.

Hillary will be more accommodating than Obama, so of course they will 'improve', that is, make it easier for the Zionists to engage in mass murder with the U.S. flag as cover for doing so.

Hillary is, on a personal level, probably more sympathetic towards Israel than Obama is.

However, in terms of official policy, I don't see her deviating from his administration's stance. For that matter, Obama's stance is really no different than any president before  him.

He opposes West Bank settlements. So has every other president since settlements became an issue in the 1970s. In terms of opposition to settlements, the most "anti-Israel" president is not Obama but George H. W. Bush.

He does not acknowledge Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Neither has any previous administration. Jerusalem, in whole, is not considered sovereign Israeli territory by any country other than Israel. Whether or not it "will inevitably be" in any peace agreement is irrelevant, as no agreement exists.

The only thing that has changed recently regarding US-Israel relations is the behavior of Israel. Their government has become more emboldened, more belligerent, more uncooperative and more disrespectful to the few allies it has.

I think her talk right now is just election talk. She's likely to carry on with Obama's general policy, albeit with less overt belligerence and threats like we saw in the beginning of Obama's tenure.

She'd probably be fairly similar to her husband overall.

From Israel's perspective, anyone (Republican or Democrat) other than Barack Obama would qualify as an improvement.

You mean from Netanyahu's perspective.
