Obama has had a fantastic week, politically.

The economy is doing well and unemployment continues to inch lower as wages are starting to show signs of increasing.

He was victorious in pushing through a major trade deal, showing that he can actually work with the GOP to accomplish a goal. While frustrated, the left can't be too mad at Obama given his long list of liberal successes--particularly this week.

He won enormous victories with the Supreme Court on Obamacare and on Same Sex Marriage.

He has sought to lead the nation towards reconciliation after a senseless tragedy in South Carolina, giving one of the most consequential and powerful speeches of his political career.

Even before this week, his poll numbers have already started to edge upwards. Will he break 50% soon? 53%? 55%? How high can they go or is the country too divided? Was Charleston a moment for Obama akin to Oklahoma City where Clinton was able to transcend the partisan rancor?

It's at 47 right now, and it's reasonable to assume that it could go up a point or two. Given that, the margin of error could very realistically provide a 51 at least once.

I voted no, but I thought it said June 31.

I'd say there's a good chance that he gets above 50%.

He took a dip in Gallup in the three day tracking, and that stayed stagnant today at 46-50.

He will for sure if Osama gets killed once more. That, together with his reelection, has been the only event to put him over 50% again. So probably it's rather unlikely for now. However, when the Republican idiots start to throw dirt on each other come August/September/October/November, then I could see Obama's rating hit 50% again due to the public's enormous hate towards the Republican party (just as we saw in a very strong degree during the primary season of 11/12).
