They are blocking a SC resolution acknowledging Srebrenica as a genocide.

It would have been funnier if you mentioned something about a bear attack.

Unlike you, I have spent a big chunk of my life in Russia - and have never seen a bear there outside of a zoo. Elk, may be. But bears?

That's only because Vladimir Putin personally wrestled all those bears to death.

Nah, you forgot the real hero of the bear hunt.

Do you recognize him (the one in the center, in a sweater)?

I spent sizable majority of my life (more then 3/4) in Russia - and saw bears only in zoos. In Moscow (where i live now) you will rarely see even an elk: after all this is a city with 10 millions of people permanently living  in it, and another 10 millions - working or on a visit... And vast majority of Russian people have much more important (for them) things to think about - first of all an economy and personal well-being (or - lack of it) - then human rights. It may be sad, but it's a fact of Russian life - no more then 10-15% of population thinks about human rights even from time to time..

You missed the point, entirely. It must be related to age or my love of history.

You're detecting snarkiness where there is none. It's not your fault. The climate of this board is horrid and prone to making one defensive.

Carry on.

I have not "detected" anything in your posts Smiley Least of all, love of (or even a passing acquaintance with) history Smiley I am just an old snarky guy having fun Smiley

Love the climate here, BTW Smiley
