Breaking News ! Governor Locke dead at age 66...
" CNN has just received word that the Former Governor of Washington, and Former Presidential Candidate has died from Complications of Late Stage Lymphoma. The Family has released a statement saying that Gary Locke has been a wonderful father and friend and that he will be missed. President Obama said in a Press Conference in Vienna Austria, that Governor Locke has been a faithful public servant and that Locke was a true patriot. The President has ordered all flags to be at half staff.
"Former Ambassador Locke has been dedicated in his service to his country, and I am sure he deserves his reward as much as any man on earth."
- Joe Biden, at a press conference shortly after the death

Please read through this post in its entirety.

The New York Times

Polling Update

NATIONAL REPUBLICAN

Ted Cruz - 29%
Bob Ehrlich - 20%
Bill Haslam - 17%
Scott Walker - 12%

Senator Cruz receives a boost after winning in Iowa, and he is now the clear frontrunner as conservatives begin coalescing around his campaign. Bob Ehrlich isn't too far behind, after receiving the endorsement of John Kasich and polling a surprisingly close third in Iowa. Governor Haslam is slowly consolidating support from the conservative establishment, while Scott Walker begins to fade after a disappointing second place finish in Iowa.

NATIONAL DEMOCRAT
Joe Biden - 48%
Elizabeth Warren - 45%

In a classic battle between the establishment and the progressives, Vice President Joe Biden is neck-and-neck with Senator Elizabeth Warren.

NEW HAMPSHIRE REPUBLICAN

Bob Ehrlich - 28%
Ted Cruz - 21%
Scott Walker - 12%
Bill Haslam - 12%

NEW HAMPSHIRE DEMOCRATIC

Elizabeth Warren - 50%
Joe Biden - 38%

This turn will be open 72 hours. Please PM me for endorsements. Please let me know if you have any questions. Beginning next round, random news stories will begin that will either help or hurt your campaign. Stay tuned.

Cory Booker for President

A fresh Face, A new Direction for a strong Tomorrow
February 7th 2016
Newark New Jersey

Good afternoon America,  I am launching my Presidential Campaign. Today like any other we need a Generational Change in  this country. As a Progressive Senator I am  running to represent this change that America so Desperately needs . The Democratic Party over the past few years has grown to be represented by only a few people. While I respect the job these  individuals have done, It is time that another Democrat, a fresh face if you will stepped up to the plate. Today that is what I am doing ready  to breath new life into this party, and bring a new Direction for not just my Party, but for America as a whole.

Today I bring a new plan to the table, unlike my GOP opponents  who  propose  more cutbacks and the elimination of Medicare. Under a Booker Presidency we will lower Cooperate Taxes  to keep American companies and American Jobs here in this country. I will introduce stricter laws governing the Financial sector, ensuring that the financial meltdown of 08 does not repeat, I will  raise the minimum wage to $10 an hour. We will keep Social Security intact, as well as protecting Minority rights. I will reform are health Care system ensuring more Americans are covered.

That my friends represents A New Direction for a Stronger Tomorrow.

I have a question. Was Gary Locke a Progressive ? Or was he the establishment ? I felt as if he was a weird mix of both. Did Locke steal votes from Biden and Warren ? How was his Campaign ? All in All, How did I do for my very first RPing ?!

Jesse Ventura announces Libertarian Party bid.

After months of speculation, the former independent governor of Minnesota announces his bid for the Libertarian Party nomination. "Americans have had their liberty ruined and trashed in the past few decades, by the Liberal and Conservative security state, it is time for us to stand up." Mr. Ventura won the contested three way gubernatorial race in 1998 and after declining to run for reelection in 2002, has been a advocate for libertarian causes across America. He describes himself as "Socially liberal, fiscally conservative," and a strong opponent of the Patriot Act and enhanced interrogation. "The Libertarian Party is one of the few organizations willing to stand up for liberty. We have to work to overturn strangling regulations and ensure that free markets and trade are protected across the United States. We have to work to end these foreign wars which we have no stake in. We have to work to end corruption and bloated govemrnt within the system. If you believe in these ideals I urge you to vote for me, Jesse Ventura, in the election."

OOC: The only thing you can really compromise on is taxes and climate change. A slightly progressive income tax brackets from 5%-25% and a nationwide sales tax of 12.3% with exemptions for food, clothes, and a few other items is the best you could hope for. They usually also recommend pulling all troops out, with some going to guard embassies, and total elimination of social and other economic programs.

As it is, you're going to get trouble from Wayne Allyn Root, Carl Pearson, Mike Gravel, Mary Ruwart, and Adrian Wyllie.

OOC: I would be lowering taxes dramatically anyway, just less on the rich. I am going for a moderate Lib as Jesse Ventura is'nt exactly a libertarian IRL. Plus Gravel is like 85.

"Governor Haslam was withdrawn from the race due to family issues. He will endorse Bob Ehrlich for President."

- Press Secretary Juliet Barham.

(Sorry guys, but this semester is only getting busier. I don't have time to balance this game, working on my TL, and working on assignments. It's been fun.)

"Thank you Iowa! Thank you so much for your support.
You gave us a lot more than we'd have never expected. Recent polls showed us barely in double digits, but not only we get a double digits result. We crossed 20%, we gained an important number of delegates here in Iowa.
Also I'd like to thank both Governor John Kasich of Ohio and Governor Bill Haslam of Tennessee. Both of us are governors and we understands how working for people of our states. Both of us have a strong conservative record, both of us were able to win elections is states not easy for Republicans, especially Maryland and Ohio. That's what America needs. America needs a President with a strong conservative record of common sense reforms and this message is reasonating with my fellow republicans.
This great result in Iowa and these great endorsements are a sign of it, are a sign of our momentum and we are going to invigorate this momentum with an historic win in New Hampshire and then we are going to win the nomination!
Thank you all so much! God bless you, God bless Iowa and God bless America"

Campaign schedule coming later today or tomorrow.
