Maybe it's best to consolidate those by Presidential candidates in (this) one thread.

We all know what the Republican reaction to it is. Terminate the deal, never let them build a bomb, put massive sanctions on them, take military action if necessary if they don't comply. It's being the world's policeman on steroids.

Sanders and Chafee will support it.  Hillary and Rand will hedge.  Everyone else will be against it.

Senator Paul has been a supporter of containment. That is what this deal is, it is containment and appeasement.

Paul joins the rest of the GOP field in opposing the deal:

There is no way to "cut off all pathways to a bomb" in the "for all time" standard Bush appears to want, for any country that is a member of the NPT and has a nuclear program. The deal makes sure the Iranians can't build a bomb anytime soon - without this deal, they either go the North Korean route or the US goes to war.  This is just Jeb promising the Israelis and neocons their war if he gets elected.

And this is why Paul will go nowhere. If he's not going to be the "alternative" what's the point of his candidacy?

Jim Webb, the only serious Democrat running for President, agrees with Jeb Bush and others who know this deal is appeasement.

I know all of you were holding your breath, waiting for the reaction from Jim Gilmore:

His dad probably would have showed some principles here. Rand is just another Republican hack.

HRC has already come out fully behind the deal, so she's not hedging.

The thing to keep in mind for those who oppose the deal is that 'bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran' will do nothing.  Iran has built their nuclear facilities deeply underground and has utilized technologies that make the so-called bunker busting missiles useless.

This isn't unique.  In World War II The Allies bombing leveled all of Germany, yet until late 1944 German war materiel output actually increased every year. The bombing was such a failure that many Allied military officials considered it to be immoral as it had no military purpose but merely hurt and killed civilians.  To be sure, military technology has changed a great deal since then, but it has for the defense as well as for the offense, and, in general, the defense always has the advantage.

If you want to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons, and you oppose this deal, the only alternative is regime change which means sending in tens of thousands of U.S ground troops and undertaking a war against a powerful army all the while likely turning the Iranian people into extreme anti Americans.

Yeah, the man who defeated the Patriot Act despite hollering from the GOP is totally a Republican hack.
