As Secretary of External Affairs, I'm responsible for the nation's defense as well (the DoEA being like the RL Departments of State and the Pentagon combined). Therefore, we are monitoring the situation very closely and we are ready to provide directives for selected units of our armed forces to support the law enforcement if necessary (the lack of person running the Justice and Internal Affairs Departments is worrying more than ever).

Secretary Swaraj's comments are certainly understandable, as due to some past negligences, as well as internal situation which is consuming most of Atlasia's efforts, it wouldn't be possible to avoid an impression that we're no longer as interested in world affairs as we should be. I'd like to address these feelings by restating my commitment to remaining an active and engaged member of the international community.

As of the "public silence", I can't speak for other institutions, but the Department of External Affairs choose not to publically take sides (which would be inevitable) in order to be able to help facilitate ceasefire and we're very happy with Prime Minister Modi's announcement, as well as choice of Vienna. Austria is a neutral nation and is better suited to host such negotiations than any power.

We need to restore confidence in Atlasia's commitment on the world stage.

Breaking: Atlasian Republican Publishes Document of 8/5/15 Attacks

DKrol, Editor-in-Chief of The Atlasian Republican, has made the executive decision to release a document, sent to The Atlasian Republican by former Attorney General Al Sibboleth, with respect to the attacks that have rocked Nyman and the nation over the last twelve hours. DKrol feels that he has "a moral and ethical obligation" to make the document public.

2. The Reality Or Nothing organisation (the entire leadership of which also happens to be in South America now) has decided to commit the following necessary actions:

a) attempt on the life of Senator NC Yankee
b) attempt on the life of former President DemPGH
c) attempt on the life of Senator Cris
d) bomb attacks on three sites in Nyman DC: the Attorney General's Office, the State Department and the headquarters of the Labor Party.
