Going by this theory, Carson is the perfect Jimmy Carter. They're both political outsiders who are very innocent, good-hearted, and well-intentioned. I wonder who the Dem Ronald Reagan will be.

I wonder if Trump will be Jimmy Carter? A political outsider who doesn't get along with his party. A wacky version of Carter anyway.

Looks like:

Reagan = FDR
Bush Sr = Truman
Clinton = Ike
Dubya = JFK/LBJ
Obama/Hillary = Nixon/Ford

is all but confirmed now. In fact, Hillary only won 5 Carter states [the rest of her victories were Ford states], and the majority of Trump States are Carter states.
