I have to admit that when he first got in I thought he would never do this and drop out in the fall when he got to his last extension. But maybe with his huuuuuge numbers and FOX requiring it for the August debate he decided to go ahead and do it.

FWIW, Forbes thinks he is exaggerating his worth by a lot

He is. Donald Trump's idiocy is making a mockery of the American republic, he is a total disgrace and embarrassment. I'd rather anyone else in the field be leading Bush except this moron.

Even if he's only worth $2 billion, that still is a lot.

It's hilarious how we've had so many candidates, fearing the loss of support from Joe Average, downplay their wealth or obfuscate when it came to their financial records, and then this billionaire is trying to exaggerate how much he has. What a campaign.

Perhaps he's trying to tap into the prosperity gospel. "Trump is richer than everyone else, so he must be better than everyone else!"

I think he's trying to play into the idea that a president should be large, loud, and in charge. Sort of a conservative Teddy Roosevelt, I suppose.

I was afraid that the 2016 election was going to be incredibly boring, but Trump might make it the most hilarious.

It would be so funny if Trump ran a third party campaign once he loses the nomination. It would be even more hilarious if he made it into the national debates. I would kill to see that happen.
