I wrote the final version of this after Fivex was banned, but it has been in the works since June and that situaiton. FiveX had his account banned because he was mistakenly indentified as an Atheist sock for having a number in his name. He is not an Atlasian player, but the potential for a similar event to occur needs to be considere.

I must insist on the retention of the words "or IP". Back in 2011, my IP was accidentally banned because I was using AOL and thus had the same IP as fellow AOL user JewCon.

As for the wordiness, I was trying to be careful and even account for potential name change of the Regristrar General. My primary objective was for this to work and not have the processes stalled becuase a name change in the future caused the process to lapse. As for the mission statement, I wanted to be excessively rhetorical to express concern of where the administration of the forum has gone. Tongue

There's no reason to have IP there because people only get deregistered if their account is banned.

Though I would prefer to keep the mission statement wordy in light of recent events, if possible. It is arbitrary and uneven.

The problem is that we cannot protect Atlasian's from being unfairly banned. We can only protect them from in game consequences of those bans or lessen the impact.
