The Iran deal is neither as important nor as dangerous as the Obama administration and its opponents in insist.

The pro-Israel lobby is strong, but its starting to lose its grip on the Democratic party.

Israel and its so-called "allies" are becoming more stupid and deluded by the day. If the US wasn't there to save its ass, chances are Netanyahu's diplomatic inanity would have got the country wiped out by now.

President Obama holding the U.S. - Israel relationship hostage is not, in any terms, a way to "save it's ass."

The only thing inane and ridiculous is the western world's willingness to trust a country run by extremist megalomaniacs.

I salute all of these former officials getting involved in supporting the national security interests of America, Israel, and the rest of the world (especially Joe Lieberman, a man I admire deeply, and Mary Landrieu and Evan Bayh, two great moderate leaders).

Don't worry, I think the Western world has long lost any trust in Netanyahu and his buddies. Wink

You literally just beat me to the joke.

And please-those democrats are jokes.

Lieberman called for bombing Iran in 2008, Bayh is the definition of moderate blub and Landriue sold her Obamacare vote to get some pork for her state. If that's the best AIPAC have to offer you can see why they've actually failed to achieve anything since 2012. A summary on their new el

Considering the European Union and the United States under this President can't get their own affairs in order, I am glad for that!

I wish AIPAC all the best in destroying the bipartisan third rail that is the near-unconditional support of Israel.

One of the sweeteners of the deal is that Israel gets a bonanza of military aid to pay for its crap. What occurs to me is that Israel is basically the right-wingers version of Greece.

They all failed and lost re-election, and now have nothing better to do with their lives than affiliate to this scum of the earth group.

Hopefully all the defeated Democratic ex-Senators will remind incumbent Democratic Senators what can happen to them if they oppose AIPAC.

AIPAC is pure evil. J-Street is a much better group when it comes to Israel.

Thank God Obama only needs 34 Democrats to vote against it in the Senate.

But very few lawmakers actually oppose AIPAC (and the idea of lawmakers being taught to fear an interest group is a bit worrisome in itself).

AIPAC hacks losing reelection will remind Democrats not to oppose AIPAC? How exactly does that work?

Definitely evidence that we need more bad Democrats to join these losers.

UN Security Council Unanimously Endorses Iran Deal

Euorpean Union Backs Iran Deal

Regardless of what the US Congress does, the rest of the word is moving forward with the deal, which means that the big time Iran sanctions are done or will be done in 5-10 years. With how little economic impact the United States has on Iran (compared to Europe, China, Russia, etc), the US keeping sanctions in place will have almost no impact. If Congress does in fact vote down the deal, all it will mean is weak US sanctions, because we have little impact on the Iranian economy, and no inspections.
