No greens? I support the NDP. Mulcair was a step down from Layton as a leader, but the NDP actually has a chance of winning (for once) and is so much better than any possible alternatives.

I absolutely loathe the Republican party. But in Canada the Conservative party isn't insane and far right like the Republicans. I have been pretty ambivalent during the Harper era. He has to be extremely careful not to offend the Liberal consensus in Canada. He knows that if he ever tried to amend the abortion ruling or SSM, he would get tossed out pretty fast.

I am backing the NDP in 2015, I do not think Trudeau is ready to govern.

May I ask why? And what if you were outside of Quebec?

Tories, but considering Christian Heritage depending on the Tory candidate.

Yes, it's quite odd that two parties nobody has ever heard of are here, rather than a party that polls above 5% and has an MP.

At this point, I'm viewing the NDP as the best in a pool of options that are all not extraordinarily palatable.  So...them, but hoping for a minority parliament outcome regardless.

Conservative, but I could amend that to Liberal (not sure if I'm ready to go BQ or not) in a riding where they have the best shot at beating the New Democrats. Defeating the NDP is the top priority.

I'm so proud of this forum when it shows off how much it despises the LPC.

Conservatives have higher than expected numbers, here, though. I suppose they're getting a few Serious Person votes.

Reluctant CPC. A good Liberal leader could swing me over.

Would not vote, given the absolute dearth of worthwhile left-wing parties in Canada

I think people who don't have a party they like right now should strategically choose a party that promises to implement proportional representation (basically the NDP), because that's the only way you're going to get a new leftist party that appeals to a narrow section of the electorate to win seats without screwing over the centre-left.

A single Liberal vote now. I think that's even sadder.

Out of curiosity, I put the poll #s in my model and here's the seat projection (interpreting "Christian Heritage" as Other and "Other" as Green since I don't model parties that get <1% of the vote):
240 NDP
95 Conservative
1 Liberal
1 Green
1 Other

The one liberal is in Scarborough-Agincourt.
