Allow me to demonstrate the troll hunting skills I'd bring to the table as a moderator: Retrumplican and Green Line are both socks and are almost certainly the same person.

You didn't deny being a sock...

They registered here within an hour of each other, their trolling styles are identical, and just look at their interactions with each other on the 2016 board.

Ah, my mistake. I remember a D-TX avatar with an account there. None the less, the said poster is a moderator over there that makes our mod teams alleged "moderator fascism" look mild in comparison.

Oh God, Gully as a mod would make Inks look downright tolerable.
What, you think Inks was too laid back of a moderator? Odd position.

While we're at it, I'll go ahead and nominate one of our most well-respected and beloved members, PollsPuffPass.

I'm sorry to all the applicants in this thread, but I believe I have the honor:

I demand fuzzy be awarded the position of Modadmin for his accomplishments in this thread Smiley

^In response to my maps.  I've been line for over three years, so no cutting!

On a more serious note, I really would interested.  I think that the creation and maintenance of our official unofficial Facebook page "Election Maps Co." proves that I'm more than devoted to creating a engaging and pretty laid back environment when it comes to discussing politics.

He would probably end up putting himself on mod review within his first week on the job.  Then he'd reject his own posts, to avoid the criticism.

If you need a moderator for the 2016 U.S. Presidential Primary Elections Poll board, I'm ready. I already updated the Primary Map and I'm ready to do it in the next months for both GOP and DEM primaries and I'd also like to add a delegate tracker in the same thread.

With the unfortunate departure of Joe Republic, I'll throw my hat in consideration for moderating either one of the boards he did.

I'm aware that I'm a considerably more controversial poster than I used to be, but I've been on the forum for about four years now and I care a lot about it. I was president of a university club for a year, during which time its membership more than doubled. My moderation style would be somewhat forceful but I'd try my utmost not to railroad conversations or behave capriciously. I'd dearly appreciate your consideration.

I am more dedicated to this Forum now than I have been in quite a while.  As is quite apparent, I have never taken any interest in causing any form of controversy or "scandal" on my part.  As a moderator, I would follow a strict adherence to the rules and guidelines but make active engagement with the broader membership an important service.

I'd highly appreciate consideration.

Addendum: I'm not entirely sure which boards are in direct need, but I would be happy to give assistance wherever is required.

Let's be real here: there is an obvious and correct answer, and it is to add Cathcon and Crabcake.  Turkisblau would also be a strong choice.

I like Gully as a person and a poster, but just from a purely PR standpoint someone less controversial would probably be better.

No, there isn't. It is just your opinion. Why would Cathcon and Turkisblau be good mods?

Not that I have anything against crabcake, but why are mine and Turkisblau's credentials so much more suspect? If I recall correctly, I possess membership seniority over crabcake, so the most obvious possibility is out. Please elaborate!

Oh and I hope I didn't offend anyone by mentioning my moderating of a certain subreddit that may be considered inappropriate. I thought doing so would demonstrate my experience with eliminating spam and material that infringes on copyrights.

As would I. Of course, I'm way less experienced than most of the other applicants, so I don't expect to be considered, but I would love the opportunity.

How long do you have to be a member here for consideration?
