I'm not going to go and say I have all the experience of the fine users above. Nor am I a member of the old guard. But I do think I am well-liked and respected; yet thick-skinned enough to deal with becoming a a loathed figure as moderators are prone to becoming.

Actually, experience-wise: for two years now I've shown 6-12 year old children around nature reserves and museums. Perfect experience IMO for modding the 2016 board!

(I'm also on a different timezone to most of the other applicants, which could be useful)

There may be a lot of moderators, but active mods is another matter. At least half of them log on about once a month, I swear.
