He brings spurious charges against Senator Yankee and Citizen ClassicConservative, while ignoring the treasonous actions of Governor TNF. His presence in office serves as an active affront to the institutions of the Republic of Atlasia we are sworn to protect. The President should have removed him, but failing that we must.

In my view, the senate really doesn't have an option here. Attorney General Al has broken his oath to uphold the Constitution. Despite TNF's seizure of power, voting restrictions  and open rebellion the Attorney General has failed to uphold the law and order his arrest. It's clearly for his purpose of bringing the game to an end, and the Senate is at it's heart the most powerful check on an executive Branch that has failed to act. The charges brought against Senator Yankee have absolutely no merit to them, and is further evidence of a political plot.

I urge all fellow Senators to vote to impeach Attorney General Al

Indeed, it is beyond clear the Attorney General does not intend to carry out his duty, and he is currently leading what can only be described as a treasonous organization with similar objectives to what we have seen on the Midwest and now in isolated parts of the Northeast. It would be a disgrace to see the Attorney General remain in office, and I fully support the impeachment charges as well.

There is no merit to the charges. I will vote against impeaching this dedicated civil servant.

He is not able to do his job. I think that the article of Impeachment is pretty clear.

Motion seconded.

Well this is rather amusing isn't it. Am I permitted to respond to these charges or is the Senate to demonstrate itself guilty of gross hypocrisy as well as dull witted incompetence?

If you want, you can. But no matter what will you say. I'll vote to impeach you.

Indeed, so sure are you of the need to do that that you seconded a motion to have the vote before I even had chance to utter a word in my defence. There's a term for that in English: show trial.

Attorney General, you've had nearly a whole day to act. Your department has failed to do anything about TNF's invasion of the Pacific. You've shown gross incompetence, and frankly there's little you can say in your defense. Why didn't you press charges against TNF?

Id like to wait to hear AG Al's argument.  While he has not acted so far, one can be forgiven for taking a day to do so.  Real life and all.  As of this moment, I am inclined to vote for impeachment...but we need to hear his defense and reconsider our votes if that is warranted.

Well let's see now. What's my answer going to be. Oh yes. It just so happens that I have a life outside of this game (a shocking and impeachable offense in its own right, probably) and have spent most of this Sunday away from my computer screen. Should I have filled in a permission slip of some kind first? As to your other questions, I'm not sure if I should answer them given the gross breaches of procedure in this show trial. In fact I'm not sure if I even recognise its legitimacy.

Regardless, the Rubicon has been crossed and the game is as good as dead: look around you if ou don't believe me. If it lasts in any form at all it will be an incredibly tedious affair centred around the borderline illiterate ramblings of NC Yankee and played largely by thirteen year old Young Republicans. A fate worse than death if you ask me and not a good use of the space that Dave has given us. Refusal to accept this is frankly delusional.

Well I slept through half the crisis last night, so I'm not blaming you. I just don't understand how you've had the chance to charge Yankee, and Classic Conservative but not TNF. In fact you've made a handful of statements about it but the whole administration has been quiet about TNF as he sends troops across the border

I want to clarify that you guys can't rush through a fair trial by immediately moving for a final vote - Chief Justice bgwah presides over this impeachment trial as a Constitutional right and thus has sole discretion on when the vote is to be held

I would advise the Senate to continue with the impeachment proceedings as normal unless/until the officeholder in question makes his resignation intent known in the standard, appropriate thread.
