Unless given direction, I won't consider RP'ing valid and will put you down for your username. We also don't have any official constituencies, so...

I will make a "Sign Up" thread once we have constituencies set up, I think. Nothing's official yet  on that front although dallas has made a good map.

Haven't updated for a couple days on purpose - I'd like to wait until we adopt a map w/ constituencies so I can make a "Sign Up" thread when everyone needs to choose their location. Much simpler that way, no?

Also this list is seriously outdated.

I've heard mixed signals on whether on whether or not people are choosing where they live or if they can use RP names. I'm waiting on some sort of direction to create a sign up thread...

Also, it's hard making a list of people and their respective parties when the info is all spread out over multiple threads with multiple pages.

Thank you Barnes. I will be PM'ing the rest of the party leaders to send me their official party lists as well. They will be mandatory for the upcoming vote.

Mr. RG Türkisblau

As this mock parliament game is for South America, my question is, is there a mock parliament game for the U.S. or is there in fact going to be a mock parliament game for the U.S.?

I'm not the one to talk to about that - we had a choice originally over the setting and we settled on South America. I don't believe there's one for the US.

Post-mortem and Statement on the 1st General Election

Looking back on how things played out on Friday and through the weekend, there were many things that could have been done to make the process clearer and run more smoothly. First, I would like to say that I had a family emergency on the morning of Friday the 14th and thus the administration of the election was rushed, to say the least. In looking back I have a couple points to make as far as how to make the future election run more smoothly:

1. Clearer directions from parliament. As far as voter eligibility, party lists, and a whole host of other details go, it was completely at my discretion as to how to operate the elections. At times it felt directionless, and I do acknowledge that this is partially my fault, seeing as I was a member of the Provisional Parliament. For this reason, I plan on working with PM Potus on a comprehensive elections bill that can address concerns many had.

2. A consistent policy. Due to the rushed nature of the administration and my mobile-only access, major parts of policy regarding voter eligibility were initally mistaken and not made clear until only later. This kind of confusion is unacceptable, especially in the middle of an election, and could have possibly disenfranchised voters.

3. Please sign-in! Seriously. Everybody needs to make their participation in the parliament clear, and it is not realistic for the RG to gather a list of eligible voters from 10 various threads across this sub-board. It is a necessary step that needs to be taken and some who are now clear of it's use have still not signed in. Please do so!

Other than that, I would consider a 98% turnout among 59 participants (for the first election, no less!) in the Mock Parliament resulting in a stable coalition government a rousing success. We have already surpassed past iterations of this game in activity and interest.

I urge parties that did not win seats and folks who didn't make it in parliament to stick around and participate in the process as we enter into seating of the 1st Parliament of South America.

I'm just going to assume that I am still RG. I guess that I'll kindly ask the government to reappoint me or just make a decision in general. Also, I don't know where people got the idea that my party and activities in Parliament conflict with my duties as RG, seeing as it is non-partisan, and not under strict control of the government.

Under the Constitution Act, you simply continue in office until the position is vacated by resignation or impeachment. Wink

It's just a weird situation since I've only been made "Provisional RG" iirc, not official RG (or something like that.)
