No. I'm just a freak, but my social skills are pretty average.

My mom thinks some of my behavior resembles Asperger's, but really it's probably a combination of obsessive-compulsive disorder, obsessive-compulsive personality disorder, depression, generalized anxiety disorder, and what my sister thinks is schizoid behavior. Everyone in my family tries to define me based on my psychology, it's not undeserved though.

I honestly have no idea. I've never been diagnosed for anything, and I was pretty "popular" in my school years, but I have indeed displayed many "Aspie" characteristics in my life, such as short lived interests and trouble paying attention and listening in class. I may just have a really minor case.

Sounds like ADHD or the like, not autism bro

Ive never been diagnosed, but I always lamented that I was lacking an instruction manual for social interactions that everybody else seemed to have or something, and Ive never been able to talk to my parents about social/mental issues, so its quite possible I just flew under the radar imo.

Actually diagnosed, and I scored 37 on that test.

My therapist and some teachers in the past has said I seem to, but I'm not quite sure(never been diagnosed).

Got a 35 on the test, but I'm not sure if internal biases influenced that.

Yes, I do have Asperger's. Back when I was in elementary school (about a decade or so ago), I was initially diagnosed by my pediatrician with ADHD. That diagnosis was refined a few years later, after further tests were conducted. I haven't taken any additional tests in recent years, so I'm not sure exactly where I stand, on that end of the spectrum. But I've had difficulties with getting along with other people, I'm not particularly fond of being in public, and I have a excessive, compulsive interest in a few topics (such as history, politics, and some aspects of science fiction). I also had a lisp when I was younger, and had to go through vocal tutoring to overcome it. I talk to myself every day, and I am constantly thinking about certain of my favorite topics.  I also have a habit of going into more detail than I usually should and of revising my work frequently.

Technically yes AFAIK but don't consider myself one. My social skills are decent and I've gotten more comfortable around others, although I'm quite cautions and calculating and don't take risks in social situations. I seem to be well liked by almost everyone on here and generally IRL as well. My biggest problem is I'm not very attentive on a consistent basis, which is more of an ADD/ADHD-related problems.

A lisp is the best way that I can describe it. Specifically, I had a problem with pronouncing the word "S", and there were a few other letters/words that were troublesome as well. The tutoring that I received was usually with some specialist, both at my elementary and at my middle school. I went through it for several years, until around 7th Grade or so.

I have been tested for ADHD and results were negative. You and I probably just had common nerdiness.

I also got a 15 on the test that someone linked here.

Nope. ADHD. That being said, my mind is far too active for its own good, even with the medication I take. Tongue

Like a lot of posters my teachers suspected I did and had me tested, but it turned out I wasn't on the spectrum. I got 10 on that test, which is a bit strange...afaict I'm not on the spectrum at all but just obsessively focused on ideas rather than people? I suspect I'm less social than the average forum member (which I'm starting to get slightly concerned about)

I scored a 24.

I was an only child as a kid and I had no cousins my age, so all the kids I knew were not family.  My parents were also quite old.  Still, I've been a Lone Wolf McQuade type for much of my life, and I'm glad I have my wonderful wife to snap me out of this.

I'm autistic, yes. I (I personally) don't like the word/concept of Asperger's and don't like the framing of "having" autism as if it's an illness.

I was apparently tested for it as a child, but...

Nah. Although I'm on the far end of "normal" for sure.

Yes I do. I was diagnosed in 2004. Also, please do not use the word "sperg" as some people might be offended by it in some contexts, including myself.
