I've been professionally diagnosed with Asperger's. Not sure where the "self-diagnosed" stuff is coming from--it's rather annoying.

For an introverted, single-minded Internet denizen, seeing the diagnostic criteria on the web for Asperger's can feel akin to reading one's biography.  Whether one is diagnosed or not with something depends on factors like parental will, school administration, and geographic location.  I tend to think the Aspies here are very high functioning relative to the average.

Not quite but there were times in the past where I wondered.

Never diagnosed, but wouldn't necessarily be surprised.

I've never thought about how many people on here did.

As for myself, I've had suspicions, but it would be reckless to say I think I have it. So no.

Yes. I've had doubts after I was diagnosed, but doctors last year confirmed again I have Aspergers. So that's that.

Possibly.  I came of an age when neither Asperger's nor ADHD were widely known.  If not one of those, I suspect I probably would have been diagnosed with something in our overly medicated modern age.  Whether it is something I should have been diagnosed with in the underly medicated age I grew up in is a separate issue.

Aside from really severe cases it's not something that people suffer from. It's just a slightly different way of being. The only problems are that it doesn't conform to social norms.

Never been diagnosed with a darn thing--to my knowledge. Still, taking abnormal psych makes ya wonder...

Yes.  I was diagnosed with Asperger's when I was about four.  And I'm not sure I would separate it from autism; I would consider it to be part of what psychologists call the "autism spectrum."

This.  I get that there are some autistics that are severely disabled and handicapped, but let's not pretend that high-functioning autistics like me are remotely like that.  High-functioning autistics are blessed, not sick.

For a while I legitimately thought I had Asperger's for some reason. Now I'm pretty sure I don't. Never been diagnosed.

Never diagnosed, but it's quite possible.  The prospect used to bother me, but I've stopped caring about it.

I think I have mild Aspergers insofar as I love routines and planning meticulously and categorizing things or having very sensitive hearing/sensory inputs...but socially I am better off because I grew up in a setting that involved playing "pretend" outside a lot and constantly meeting new kids.  It taught me to overcome my social awkwardness.

Have, yes.  Suffer... yes.  But then it's one of many mental "disabilities" I have.

Scored a 38, by the way.

20. I wish my mother had me take that test years ago to avoid years of torment from her and my brother about how I am supposedly "on the spectrum." Not that a random internet test is any vindication, of course.
