From what I read and saw, it seems Walker scored major points. He came across solid in his position (which is that the law matters) and also was respectful to the lengthy impromptu interview.

UPDATE: Turns out this may have been an attempted ambush by leftists.

I guess it's hard to outdo Angela Merkel, who made a soon-to-be-deported Palestinian refugee girl cry and then awkwardly petted her on the shoulder and told her she "presented very well."

It comes down to the law or compassion. Perhaps it's like the old saying, "If you're not a liberal when you're 25, you have no heart.  If you're not a conservative by the time you're 35, you have no brain."

The girl was never deported, by the way.

It comes down to the law or compassion.

But see, we have this thing called a Congress that can change the law to align with compassion. The law is not permanent. Values like compassion are unalienable laws of the universe.

Perhaps it's like the old saying, "If you're not a liberal when you're 25, you have no heart.  If you're not a conservative by the time you're 35, you have no brain."

So, you're admitting you never had a heart?

The girl actually is a strong supporter of Merkel too, so it would be foolish to deport her.

She could be a future CDU voter.

He was doing well until they popped the deportation question and he got spooked.

Were you a liberal at age 25 or are you the tin-man from Wizard of Oz?

So effectively orphaning two American citizens is the right thing to do?

It's the only way to have a system in which immigration is restricted.
