Mr. President, I believe the matter is simple. Updating the wiki, primarily the statute page, has been one of Attorney General's side duties. However, as the reality shows, many AGs doesn't care much about said side duty, so it would be more practical to entrust this sole responsibility to one person. Now, I'm far from discouraging individual citizens from updating the wiki on their own, but we need some mechanism.

I was surprised when I last visited the wiki to see that it had been completely upgraded, and I'd like to thank whoever did that. The wiki really serves a good purpose, and as long as we can find someone who is happy to do it then I'll fully support this bill

The wiki does indeed play a large role by providing a lot of key information on Atlasia, and the way this bill is written it does create too much of a workload since the job doesn't involve updating individual pages.

I will certainly be supporting this.

Given recent trends in activity, I am slightly skeptical about creating a new position.

Given recent trends in activity, I am slightly skeptical about creating a new position.

On normal circumstances that might be a complicated issue, but in this case it would be a position which could be held alongside another (although one wonders about how constitutional that would be). Should no one else step forward (and I hope someone will), I might be interested in serving as National Archivist along with my Senate seat.

Well if we have our candidate then that makes things better. I know you'd be great in the position.

Yes, I will support this act. The wiki plays an important role, expecially for new users that want to join the game and considered that there are people already involved in the government that want to serve, I will support this.

There is need for further discussion or we can move to a final vote?

Actually, there might be a problem. The amount of things I've had to do has increased by a lot in the past days, so sadly I really won't have the time to serve as the National Archvist for the time being. I'm truly sorry!

Here is an idea. Instead of making it a permenent position, whereby there is a vacancy draining a low pool of potential occupants, why not make it an "as needed position". Leave the responsibility primarily with the DOJ, but if it were to become backed up or hopelessly behind the President can have someone act as National Archivist to help catch up.

That's the very good idea Yankee. Would you propose an amendment?

I added my preferred Scott style format and copy and pasted the current clauses into it. Then I removed 1 and began to move, consolidate and alter.

The one question mark I have is the no confirmation aspect. Are my collegeagues okay with it being that informal or would they prefer we have a say who is selected? I am fine with either.

Senators have 36 hours to object at Yankee's amendment.

Support as well, a confirmation does seem unnecessary from my point of view as well.

Meh, seems pointless in its current state. Not a big deal either way.

I will agree, it's certainly a good thing.
