I nominate Talleyrand for party leader (he seems to basically be taking on that role already and is an PM in the provisional parliament).

Biggest dividing issue for us could be trade barriers, would we support NAFTA type deals?

I'd say yes - support for free trade seems pretty definitional for a liberal party.

I tend to agree with SJoyce on this.

I think it'd make sense to split the roles.

I'll go for a party executive slot.

I guess I'd be willing to take a lower slot on the list and if I do end up eventually having to fill a seat in parliament due to a vacancy or something, then I could always resign from the executive committee.

Membership on the Executive does not exclude one from beimg an MP and vice versa. Smiley

Oh, well in that case I'll definitely nominate myself for the party list Tongue

I don't know if this would be the place to do it, but I'm gonna resign from the executive.  I just haven't had as much time as I thought I would and sadly, I don't see that changing any time soon for a variety of reasons.  I was worried this might happen, hence my request for a low slot on the list in the run-up to the first parliamentary election.  Our executive should lead by example with regard to activity and since I don't think I can do that right now due to RL, resigning seems like the right thing to do.  Hopefully, I'm not letting anyone down Sad
