Biggest dividing issue for us could be trade barriers, would we support NAFTA type deals?

I'd say yes - support for free trade seems pretty definitional for a liberal party.

I think it'd make sense to split the roles.

Vague-ish platform (modeled off European liberal parties) discussing welfare and economics. Let me know what y'all think.

I'd suggest changing article 6 of chapter 4 to approval voting - the candidate most popular with the party ranked third, the next most popular fourth, etc, with ties broken by the elected leadership. Length of the list could be limited by only including those who received over 50% approval.

I'd be interested in standing for Deputy Leader.

Also, any ideas as to a party logo?

Only issue with the clover is that it's traditionally been more of a symbol of agrarianism than liberalism per se. I'm partial to the DA's myself, but we may want to wait until a national flag is determined (it uses the flag of SA - presumably we'd want to change that). I agree with Talleyrand on using green though.

I don't see much of the need for mandatory elections. There seem to be sufficient provisions for causing an election that they'll happen pretty regularly.

I do agree with the parrot logo.

Yeah, maybe approval rating wasn't the best of ideas. It'd work well for selecting a larger list, with secret (and more importantly, impersonal) voting. Probably want to modify this.

I move to immediately halt voting and commence discussion on an amendment to our party constitution:
